What Is Ideas in Flight?
Ideas in Flight is a place where I express my thoughts without constraint. These thoughts may touch on a diverse range of topics, from the psychology of evil to the joys of interacting with birds. They may weave together seemingly disparate threads to create a tapestry of improved understanding of the world. They may not be perfect, and they may be far from complete, but they will most certainly be an authentic reflection of my present state of mind.
Ideas in Flight is a place where I exercise my critical thinking muscle. I ask myself complex questions and strive to answer them objectively. I analyze the evidence that is available to me and share my thought process with you transparently. I eschew black and white thinking in favour of exploring nuance. My perspective is realistic and my purpose is the pursuit of truth.

Who Is Bianca Lallitto?
To know me is to remember the four Bs:
Birds
For as long as I can remember, I have felt an affinity with birds. It is the joy of my life to tend to my bird feeder and interact with the winged visitors it attracts. I have been fortunate enough to share some magical moments with birds in my lifetime, moments which may feature in future Substack posts.
Baking
My name is Bianca, and I have a sweet tooth. My love for desserts spurred me to develop my competence in baking so that I might satisfy my cravings more readily. Baking is one of the ways in which I show my affection for others.
Books
I was drawn to books from a very young age. Reading is more than a pastime for me; it is one of the ways in which I live my value of the pursuit of truth. Writing is an extension of this. I have always felt driven to write. It’s the way in which I communicate my thoughts most effectively. I minored in English Literature during my undergraduate studies so that I could sharpen my writing skills to a master point. Writing is intrinsically motivating to me. Accurately capturing my ideas on the page is the ultimate challenge, and expressing them the utmost freedom. Through my writing, I can connect with people in a way that I otherwise couldn’t. It’s an opportunity which I dare not take for granted.
Behavioural Analysis
I am a psychologist who specializes in human behaviour and motivation at work. I strive to help people and organizations maximize their potential by offering a realistic and nuanced view of complex problems. My purpose in life is to help others discover the truth of who they are so that they may become empowered to act autonomously.
